David Heffner.  David holds a BS Degree in Geology and Computer Science from Furman University, where for five years he provided technical support for all manner of computer related problems. He has experience with networking, programming, and using geologic software packages such as Petra, GMS, and Rockworks. David has left us to enter graduate school at nearby U. Of S.C. he quickly completed a M.S., and is now working on a PhD in geophysics.

Rex Hodges.  Rex has a broad background in environmental engineering, hydrogeology, and geology.  He has used the codes MODFLOW and RT3D to evaluate flow and transport of chlorinated compounds.  He has used the multi-phase code T2VOC to plan and evaluate remediation alternatives of contaminated sites for the past eight years.  Remediation methods modeled range from soil vapor extraction and air sparging to more aggressive thermally enhanced methods such as steam flooding and in-situ heating.  He has performed and analyzed over fifty aquifer performance tests to determine hydrologic properties, has used groundwater and transport codes to model water supply issues and contaminant transport problems, and has extensive experience in subsurface mapping with geophysical log and core data.

Rex completed a PhD in Environmental Engineering and Science from Clemson University has an M.S. in Geology from the University of North Carolina. His work experience includes ten years as a research associate at Clemson in the hydrogeology program, ten years as geologist at Chevron, and two years as a geologist at Law Engineering. He recently left AES to accept employment modeling gas movement at AEC underground test sites.  Full Resume

Van Price.  Van holds the PhD degree in Geology from the University of North Carolina.  He has taught at Clemson and Furman Universities and worked at the Gulf Oil Company Research Lab and the DOE Savannah River Lab.   He managed the Savannah River Site Ground Water Monitoring Program.  His specialties include geochemical methods of exploration for mineral and petroleum resources, and applications of these techniques to environmental assessment and monitoring.  He is familiar with monitoring well construction, sampling, analysis, laboratory QA, data management, and reporting. In addition, Van has extensive experience in forestry, in geologic field methods, surface and subsurface geologic mapping and electrical methods of geophysics.  He served on a DOE-wide seismic hazards committee to develop standards for a planned New Production Reactor at SRS.  Full Resume

Tom Temples.  Tom holds the PhD degree from the University of South Carolina and is a Registered Environmental Manager.  He worked about ten years each for Texaco and affiliated companies and for the US Department of Energy.  His specialties are oil and gas exploration, environmental geophysics, and ground-water/soil contamination in a regulatory context. He has planned and managed projects involving NEPA, RCRA, and CRCLA  Recent  work has focused on direct detection of DNAPLs with seismic methods.  He has taught courses for DOE in environmental regulations.  Full Resume
